Q. What days are arrival and departure?
A. Saturday. Arrive after 4pm, Depart before 10am

Q. Do you take bookings for less than a week?
A. Yes. Please enquire and we will let you know what's available.

Q. Does the house have direct access to the beach?
A. No. The house has access to the beach by walking up its' private road, along the pavement for a few metres and onto the beach. You do not have to cross the road to get to the beach.

Q. How far is the nearest pub from the house and does it have a fire and good beer?
A. The Auld Hoose is 50 metres from the front door, has an open fire and Belhaven Best!

Q. What about disabled access to the house?
A. The house is a Victorian town house and is accessed by a flight of stairs inside the front door. There is a bedroom with ensuite on the same floor as the kitchen and sitting room.

Q. How far is it to the golf courses from the house?
A. They are both 10 minutes walk or 3 minutes drive.

Q. How far are the shops?
A. 3 minutes walk from the house to the high street.

Q. What is the car parking situation?
A. The house is situated on a private road and has parking for one large, or two small cars.

Q. Are there good restaurants near to the house?
A. There are several good restaurants at all levels and prices on the high street, from classic italian to good pub food.

Q. Are there any good takeaways?
A. There are good eat in or take out Fish and Chips, Chinese, Thai and Indian places.

Q. Does the house have CD players?
A. Yes, in the kitchen and sitting room.

Q. What is the heating system in the house?
A. Gas fired, fully centrally heated.

Q. Is there an open fire?
A. No, but there is an excellent enclosed modern feature gas fire in the sitting room. Cosy!

Q. Are there any wine shops on the high street?
A. Yes. Victoria Wine, Co-op and Lockett Bros, an award winning independent wine and whisky specialist.

Q. Is there internet access at the house?
A. No. There is no wireless network or landline. It's a holiday house! There is a good internet cafe on the high street and wireless network at the Marine Hotel.

Q. Can I get to and from Edinburgh by public transport?
A. Yes. Rail from North Berwick Station to Edinburgh Waverley takes just over half an hour, bus services run from the high street.

Q. Is there anywhere to go swimming?
A. Yes there is a sports centre and swimming pool in North Berwick. And a fun pool in Dunbar.

Q. is there any sea fishing?
A. Yes, charters are available from the harbour.

Q. Can I go sailing?
A. Yes. Contact the East Lothian Yacht club.
